Healthcare Assistant – Ultrasound Service

🕒 Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview
As an HCA in the Ultrasound Service, you will assist Sonographers and healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality ultrasound examinations. You will play a key role in patient care, preparation, and administrative support, ensuring an efficient and comfortable experience for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Sonographers with patient preparation and positioning during ultrasound procedures.
Provide reassurance and support to patients before, during, and after their scans.
Ensure the ultrasound room is clean, well-stocked, and ready for each appointment.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative duties.
Follow infection control and health & safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
✔️ Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant (preferably in a clinical or diagnostic setting).
✔️ A caring and compassionate approach to patient care.
✔️ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✔️ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
✔️ Basic IT skills and experience with medical record systems (desirable).
